GAF announced it is expanding its Timberline HDZ Shingle lineup with a new Bold Definition color collection, giving homeowners and contractors two distinct aesthetics to choose from, in addition to the existing High Definition colors. The new collection features four shades—Chestnut Valley, Cliffside, Midnight Mesa and Sierra Sand—designed to make the roof a focal point with richer tones and stronger contrast, reflecting top-selling colors and current shingle trends.

The company said the new color options will be paired with the same installation and performance features contractors expect from Timberline HDZ, including LayerLock Technology, the StrikeZone nailing area and Dura Grip Adhesive. Timberline HDZ Shingles are also eligible for GAF’s WindProven Limited Wind Warranty when installed with four required GAF accessories.

For durability and long-term appearance, Timberline HDZ Shingles include proprietary time-release algae-fighting technology and can be backed by an available 25-year StainGuard Plus Algae Protection Limited Warranty. The shingles also carry a UL 2218 Class 3 Impact Rating and a Class A Fire Rating.

Both Timberline HDZ color collections, including the new Bold Definition options, will be displayed in booth 3601 at the 2026 International Roofing Expo (IRE), Jan. 20–22, in Las Vegas.
