Photos: Roofing Day 2018 in Washington, D.C.

Roofing Contractors and Industry Professionals from nearly all 50 states converged on Capitol Hill to Lobby Members of Congress.

Roofing Contractors and roofing industry stakeholders got a first-hand look at the lobbying frenzy known as ‘fly-in week’ at the nation’s capital in early March. Thousands of professional lobbyists and concerned citizens with a legislative agenda swoop into Washington D.C. during the first week in March to garner support for their specific issues. Roofers talked about immigration reform, regulatory reform and workforce development.

The effort, organized by the National Roofing Contractors Association, was the first of its kind in a new effort to elevate the roofing industry’s profile on Capitol Hill. Delegates from 47 states split up and covered roughly 87 percent of the members of congress during a full day of meetings. See who was there in RC’s exclusive photo gallery.
