Storm Guard — a pioneer of the roofing and construction “brand,” is celebrating its 20th year as a recognized name to consumers seeking roofing and other construction needs, including renovation and remodeling. The company offers services for both residential and commercial properties.

Founded in 2003 by Jim Linehan and Al Hertling, Storm Guard says its principals started the company with the goal of helping families after natural disasters. In a news release, Storm Guard credits Linehan’s innovative approach to business and the expertise of his colleagues with the company’s initial growth.

In 2013, Linehan conceived of franchising the concern’s name and operations as a way to expand the company at scale. The following year, Storm Guard was acquired by Bobby Cox and Glenn Lynch, bringing new resources and expertise to the company

Today, Storm Guard operates in 17 states. The concern says it opened five new locations in the last year and now has 39 offices nationwide. The company was also named a Top Franchise for 2023 by Franchise Business Review. Honored brands are chosen among participating franchisees.

"This milestone is a testament to Storm Guard's achievements in reinventing the contracting industry through providing clients with the best possible service," said Shane Lynch, Storm Guard president, "Looking to the future, we hope to further enhance our brand by improving and ensuring the best prevention methods for our clients."
