Malarkey Opens Facilities to Community for Manufacturing Day
PORTLAND, Oregon – November 17, 2015 – On October 2, Malarkey Roofing Products® opened their manufacturing facilities to local communities for Manufacturing Day with tours and educational opportunities.
Manufacturing Day aims to celebrate modern manufacturing by opening doors to facilities around the country to educate the community and inspire the next generation of manufacturing professionals. Malarkey Roofing Products offered guided facility tours, educational materials, and a historical account of how the residential and commercial roofing company has evolved through the years. Community participation, including school groups and local commissioners, came out to each of the facilities in Oregon, California, and Oklahoma.
Katherine McConnell, Marketing Manager at Malarkey, views this event as an ongoing way to reach out to local communities. “We were glad to have the opportunity to connect with our neighbors at each of our facilities and are looking forward to continuing our support of Manufacturing Day as we celebrate our sixtieth anniversary in 2016.”
