PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Burns & Scalo, a roofing and building-envelope specialist based in Pittsburgh, held their 10th Annual Safety Training Day on March 2.
Training sessions included rigging/crane signaling, man-lift safety, warning line and barricade setup, safe ladder procedures, and best practices for roof safety. Over 80 employees attended the event.
Burns & Scalo employee, Dave Janosco, was recognized for recording almost 15,000 cumulative safety hours with the company. Janosco achieved this by having zero safety violations or time-loss incidents during his span of time with the company.
“Burns & Scalo is one of the safest specialty contractors in the industry,” said Jack Scalo, President/CEO. “We want all of our customers to know that safety is a culture at our company. Weekly on-site safety sessions, job-site inspections, and of course, our Annual Safety Training Day are examples of our commitment,” said Scalo.
