Focus On Safety Equipment

Safety Boot Guardrail System

For fall protection during stilt or ladder operations, contractors can quickly erect taller, freestanding OSHA compliant rail systems up top 65 inches. Using construction grade two-by-fours, the Guardrail Brace integrates onto the standard SafetyBoot with four screws. Its steel constructed contour integrates onto the shape of the SafetyBoot extending the base and post connections enabling the height of the railing to safely increase to 65 inches. Both SafetyBoot and the 65-inch stair rail brace are durable and reusable. OSHA compliance testing documentation and installation instructions in English and Spanish are furnished with each product shipment. For more information, call 800-804-4741 or visit www.safetyboot.com.

The system is engineered with the inexperienced user in mind, allowing workers to perform emergency rescues in a timely and efficient man-ner without the use of complex knots or knives. The rescuer is not put at risk and is able to perform the rescue from a remote location without the need to descend to the victim. Personal Fall Arrest Kits

Roofmaster introduces FallMaster personal fall arrest kits. Like steeplejacks on high-rise buildings, no one thinks accidents will ever happen to them. Personal fall arrest kits are a basic item to help roofers maintain their safety. FallMaster is an easily affordable, lower cost kit that was developed with a 5-point harness that is a least more comfortable to wear when OSHA regulations are followed. The FallMaster comes in 25-foot and 50-foot models, which include a rope grab, a shock-absorbing lanyard, snap hook, disposable anchor, 5-point harness, and plastic carry-bucket. Kits are under $120 and are available nationwide. For more information, call 800-421-6174 or visit www.roofmaster.com.

Flat Roof Fall Protection

Fall-Ban reduces or eliminates the need for contractors to tie-off when they’re working on a roof. Once it’s up, workers can unhook, giving them complete freedom to move almost anywhere, even in the 6-foot OSHA zone. General contractors can ensure all trades are protected when they’re on a roof. Fall-Ban attaches to the build-ing’s edge, so it doesn’t get in the way. It works on almost any building or roof - flat, parapet or overhang. Patent pending design is easy and fast to install, durable and lightweight. Fall-Ban was engineered exclusively for roofs. System uses stanchions, attached at the roof edge to support three rows of steel cables that form a 45-inch high barrier. You only need to tie-off during setup and teardown. For more information, call 800-328-9522 or visit www.garlockequip.com.
