Howard Tools Inc. has announced the new Shingle Shear Model 2003, smaller and lighter than the original model, and with greater capabilities. With the longer 20-inch cutting blade, hip and valley cuts up to and beyond 45 degrees can be made on metric and American shingles. The redesigned guard allows shingles to be cut and slid through for cuts longer than 20 inches. An adjustable rip fence guides shingles through for lengthwise cuts. The Shingle Shear Model 2003 weighs only 16 pounds. Blades are easily sharpened and replacement blades are available.
