Layout Tape

May 31, 2002
Metal roofing manufacturer Classic Products Inc., Piqua, Ohio, in conjunction with tool manufacturer, Thor® Systems Inc., Larksville, Pa., introduces a new system to make lay-out and installation of residential metal shingle and shake roofing systems much easier. The Classic 4-in-1 tape from Thor will facilitate the flawless, computer-accurate installation of Country Manor Shake (12-inch by 48-inch panel), Rustic Shingle (12-inch by 24-inch panel), Oxford Shingle (12-inch by 60-inch panel) and TimberCreek Steel Shake (12-inch by 48-inch panel). When the chalk lines are snapped vertically down the roof at the tape’s pre-designated markings for each of Classic product lines, the result is a grid on the roof that represents the exact exposure of each course of shingles.
