National Crane Corp., Waverly, Neb., has published literature describing its new Series 400B telescoping crane. The crane is a redesigned version of the company’s 400A series. The new design simplifies rigging changes and improves serviceability. The Series 400B is rated with a maximum capacity of 20,000 pounds and features a vertical reach of 95 feet. The proportional (cable crowd) boom extension system provides more efficient weight distribution and higher lifting capacities in normal working radii. The crane mounts on a standard commercial tandem rear-axle truck and can be equipped with a variety of accessories.
