Westlake Royal Enters Standing-Seam Roofing Market
Acquisition of Metal Center assets adds three facilities and expands Unified Steel roofing portfolio

Westlake Royal Building Products has expanded into the standing-seam roofing market through the acquisition of metal roofing assets from Metal Center Inc., adding three facilities and new product capabilities to its roofing portfolio.
The transaction includes facilities in Albuquerque, N.M.; Wichita Falls, Texas; and Hutchins, Texas. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition marks Westlake Royal's entry into the rolled steel roof panel business, adding standing-seam roofing products to its existing Unified Steel brand.
The expansion complements the company's US Tile and DaVinci Roofscapes product lines and is intended to support growth in residential and commercial roofing markets.
The transaction builds upon our existing roofing business and strategically expands our portfolio with standing-seam roofing solutions, said Dustin Kruger, vice president of roofing and stone products at Westlake Royal Building Products.
Westlake Royal plans to integrate the acquired assets into its operations and market the expanded product offerings under the Unified Steel brand. The company also expects to leverage its national distribution network and existing customer relationships to expand its presence in the metal roofing market.
