Owens Corning Names Summer Harvest its 2027 Shingle Color of the Year
New color blend combines gold, burnt sienna, blue and tan tones as Owens Corning marks a decade of its annual color program

Owens Corning Roofing has named Summer Harvest its 2027 Shingle Color of the Year, continuing the company's decade-long program highlighting the role roofing color plays in residential exterior design.
Inspired by the transition from late summer into fall, Summer Harvest combines sunny gold, burnt sienna, Atlantic blue and desert tan tones. Owens Corning said the color blend is designed to complement a range of architectural styles, including craftsman, mid-century modern and colonial homes.
Summer Harvest will be available in the company's TruDefinition Duration Designer and TruDefinition Duration FLEX shingle lines. The shingles feature Owens Corning's patented SureNail Technology.
Owens Corning said its in-house color experts selected Summer Harvest after analyzing trends across home design, fashion, interiors and other areas influencing consumer color preferences.
"Homeowners are paying closer attention to how every exterior element contributes to the overall look and feel of their homes, and the roof plays an important role in that story," said Jess Bell, marketing manager at Owens Corning. "Summer Harvest reflects our commitment to offering colors that feel both current and enduring, helping homeowners create an exterior that is cohesive, personal, and timeless."
The manufacturer is also continuing its partnership with designer, author and television personality Erin Napier, who has appeared in online videos encouraging homeowners to consider roofing as part of a home's overall exterior design. Owens Corning also offers online visualization and design tools intended to help homeowners and contractors coordinate roofing with paint, trim and other exterior elements.
