84 Lumber Names Dustin Hauenstein Chief Financial Officer

84 Lumber has named Dustin Hauenstein chief financial officer, adding a veteran finance executive to its leadership team as the company celebrates its 70th anniversary.
84 Lumber has named Dustin Hauenstein chief financial officer, adding a veteran finance executive to its leadership team as the company celebrates its 70th anniversary.
Hauenstein brings more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience across the retail and financial services industries. In his new role, he will oversee 84 Lumber’s financial operations and support the company’s long-term strategic planning, operational performance and continued growth.
“Dustin joins 84 Lumber as we celebrate our milestone 70th Anniversary, and he will play an important role in defining decades to come as the company continues to grow, innovate, and lead the industry,” said Maggie Hardy, president of 84 Lumber.
Hauenstein has held several CFO positions during his career, with responsibilities spanning financial planning and analysis, investor relations, procurement and enterprise strategy.
Most recently, he served as senior vice president at Designer Brands Inc., where he was CFO of both DSW and the company’s Brand Portfolio and served as head of corporate finance. In those roles, Hauenstein oversaw enterprise financial planning and analysis, investor relations and strategic procurement.
According to 84 Lumber, Hauenstein also helped shape Designer Brands’ post-pandemic financial strategy and worked on initiatives designed to improve profitability and operational performance.
Before joining Designer Brands, Hauenstein spent more than 12 years at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he held executive leadership positions across the company’s retail and bank operations businesses.

Based in Eighty Four, Pa., 84 Lumber operates 320 facilities in 34 states and employs more than 7,500 associates. Its network includes building material stores, component manufacturing plants, engineered wood product centers and door shops serving single-family, multifamily and commercial construction markets.
