According to Polyglass, the modified bitumen core makes up more than 80% of the composition of Polyanchor HU and HU PLUS. Both products are engineered to provide tear and puncture resistance while helping protect the roof deck during installation and throughout the service life of the roof system.

Polyanchor HU is designed primarily for new construction applications. Polyglass says the underlayment provides deck protection, improved walkability and installation efficiency for mechanically attached tile roofing systems.

Polyanchor HU PLUS is intended for reroofing and more demanding jobsite conditions. The product is designed for projects where increased foot traffic, deck variability and material staging may place additional stress on the underlayment.

The Tri-Strata construction used in both products includes a nonwoven fabric surface designed for traction and jobsite durability, a modified bitumen core engineered to improve nail sealability, and a nonwoven fabric base intended to provide strength and stability across the roof deck.
