SPFA, Spray Foam World Wide Announce Strategic Alignment

Collaboration aims to expand contractor accreditation and promote safety, quality and technical competence

The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance and Spray Foam World Wide announced a strategic alignment focused on strengthening professionalism, safety and technical competence throughout the spray polyurethane foam industry.

Under the collaboration, the organizations will promote SPFA’s Contractor Company Accreditation Program to SFWW’s contractor network and the broader spray foam community. They also plan to pursue joint educational and promotional initiatives emphasizing installation quality, jobsite safety and professional standards.

Established in 2012, SPFA’s accreditation program uses third-party verification to evaluate contractors’ safety protocols, installation practices and operational procedures. The organizations said accreditation can help contractors differentiate themselves during bidding, build credibility with customers and code officials, and reduce jobsite risk.

“SPFA’s Accreditation Program has stood for operational excellence in this industry for well over a decade,” SPFA President Corey Poepping said. “We’re glad to work alongside SFWW, whose network shares our conviction that raising the bar on competence benefits every contractor, every project, and the industry as a whole.”

SFWW Co-Founder Bill Bilben said contractors increasingly must demonstrate their knowledge and technical abilities rather than simply claim them.

“SPFA’s Accreditation Program is the established, credible framework for doing exactly that, and we’re proud to help bring more contractors into the fold,” Bilben said.

Information about SPFA’s accreditation requirements and its ISO 17024-compliant Professional Certification Program is available at foamitright.org.
