Plumb Roof Pro App Adds Offline Roofing Calculators
Tool combines pitch, takeoff and rafter functions
Made With Best Practice LLC has released Plumb Roof Pro, a mobile application for Apple and Android devices that combines seven roofing measurement and calculation tools and can operate without an internet connection.
The app includes a phone-based pitch gauge, a tool that calculates pitch from a ground-level photo, material and ventilation calculators, rafter calculations, a tape-measure log and a digital plumb bob.
Its material calculator converts roof area into estimated quantities for shingles, underlayment, ice and water barrier, starter, ridge and hip cap, drip edge and nails. Users can select editable waste factors and a six-nail high-wind setting.
Measurements and calculations can be saved to an on-device job file and exported as a PDF, PNG or app backup. The application and exported reports are available in English and Spanish.
Plumb Roof Pro is available through Apple’s App Store and Google Play with a 14-day trial, followed by a one-time purchase. The app does not require a subscription, advertisements or a user account.
The developer cautions that sensor- and photo-based measurements are intended as field references and should not replace calibrated tools or verification of structural, code and safety-related calculations.
