MBCI Celebrates 50 Years, Expands Roofing Resources
Project-support capabilities broaden

MBCI, a brand within Cornerstone Building Brands’ Metal Solutions business, celebrates 50 years of customer partnership and continued momentum as it expands capabilities and support for metal roof and wall projects.
MBCI is celebrating its 50th anniversary while expanding its roofing and wall system capabilities by integrating Metal Sales assets acquired by Cornerstone Building Brands in 2025.
Founded in Houston in 1976 by A.R. Ginn and his partners, MBCI began as a small metal components operation and has grown into a supplier of metal roofing and wall products across North America.
The company said its growth has included the development of standing-seam roofing systems and high-wind products such as SuperLok, while broadening its offerings from basic components to roof, wall, structural and energy-efficient building systems.
As part of its ongoing expansion, MBCI is integrating the Metal Sales Commercial & Industrial segment, providing customers access to a manufacturing and distribution network of more than 100 locations.
MBCI is also strengthening support for complex roofing and wall projects by integrating the Metal Sales CIA Hub. The expanded Project Solutions team will provide assistance with estimating, scope alignment, product selection and project coordination, bringing together multiple building systems into a coordinated project package.
According to Jon O'Leary, vice president and general manager of components for Cornerstone Building Brands' Metal Solutions business, the enhanced services are intended to help reduce project risk and improve coordination on projects involving detailed specifications and multiple systems.
The company is marking the milestone with a yearlong campaign, "A Legacy of Momentum: Honoring the First 50 Years of MBCI," celebrating five decades of product innovation, growth and customer partnerships.
