Sherwin-Williams Expands Kentucky Plant to Meet Roofing Demand
Upgrade boosts capacity, speeds delivery

Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings has completed an expansion of its manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Ky., aimed at supporting growing demand in metal roofing and construction markets.
The company said the project increases overall capacity by 60% compared with 2025 levels and adds automation and larger batch production capabilities to improve efficiency and lead times.
“Our Performance Coatings Group continues to invest in advanced technologies that support innovation and long-term partnerships,” said Karl Jorgenrud, president of Sherwin-Williams Performance Coatings Group.
Company officials said the upgrades will help strengthen supply chain reliability and enable delivery of products in less than five days.
“Industry experts predict demand increasing across roofing and siding markets, and this expansion bolsters our ability to deliver our products in less than five days,” said Drew Waldroup, vice president of sales.
The facility produces coatings used in metal roofing and siding applications, including siliconized modified polyester systems designed for durability and weather resistance.
