Roof Coatings Pioneer Christopher Hoskins Retires
Christopher Hoskins, who helped drive growth and set standards for the roof coatings industry, retires after a distinguished career.

Christopher Hoskins, a respected pioneer in commercial and industrial roof coatings, has announced his retirement following a career spanning more than three decades. Hoskins led Truco Inc.—thh founded by his father and uncles in 1978—from 1992 to 2018, and most recently served in technical services at Inland Coatings, which acquired the Truco brand in 2018.
Inland Coatings is a leading manufacturer of quality silicone, polyurethane, acrylic, and rubber coatings for roof repair and maintenance, including commercial skylights, as well as state-of-the-art solutions for agricultural and industrial applications, OEMs, and recreational vehicles.
Hoskins played a major role in establishing brand recognition for Truco by developing quality standards and formulation specifications that raised the bar on coatings performance in the industrial and commercial markets, most especially, for metal roof coatings.
“Chris was a pioneer in developing high-quality formulation specifications and an expert network of independent contractors to ensure to-spec application," said Inland Coatings President Kenneth Schultz. "Inland Coatings will continue to benefit in the years to come from his legacy of ensuring predictable performance outcomes for our customers.”
