Home Depot Launches Project Planning Platform for Contractors
Pros can build lists, check pricing and stock, track orders, set deliveries and collaborate

The Home Depot has introduced a comprehensive digital Project Planning tool aimed at helping professional contractors better manage renovation and construction jobs from end to end.
Available now through the company’s Pro Online Experience, the platform consolidates Home Depot’s vast product inventory—including in-store merchandise, appliances, windows, and decking—into a single, customizable workspace.
Key features include material list creation organized by project phase or room, consolidated order tracking across multiple suppliers, and jobsite-specific delivery preferences. Early visibility into inventory and pricing allows contractors to sharpen estimates, while multi-user access helps crews and project managers stay coordinated across several active sites.
“The average Pro works with 10 or more suppliers on a single job,” said Mike Rowe, executive vice president of Pro at The Home Depot. “We’re in a unique position to simplify this process and will continue to expand our digital tools to meet the evolving needs of Pros.”
The launch reflects Home Depot’s broader investment in digital solutions for the professional sector—a growing customer segment representing a significant share of the retailer’s sales. By reducing supplier complexity and improving transparency, the company is positioning itself as not just a materials source, but also a digital project partner for contractors.
