Builders FirstSource Acquires New York-Based Kleet Lumber
Lumber company provides building materials including doors, windows and roofing
Builders FirstSource, a supplier of building materials, manufactured components and construction services, announced the acquisition of Kleet Lumber, based in Huntington, N.Y. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In a statement, Builders FirstSource described Kleet Lumber as a company that earned a strong reputation as a provider of lumber and building materials, including doors, windows, roofing, hardware, moldings and custom millwork.
"This acquisition bolsters our market presence in the Northeast and enhances our ability to serve builders, contractors and homeowners in the region," Builders FirstSource said in a written statement.
Kleet Lumber was founded in 1946 by Maxwell Kleet. The business continued under his son and grandsons.
The move follows several acquisitions made by Builders FirstSource. Recent acquisitions made by the company include High Mountain Door & Trim, Reno Truss, Sunrise Wood Designs, Wyoming Millwork, Western Truss and Components and CRi.
