Beacon announced on Monday that it had completed the acquisition of General Siding Supply at its Omaha, Neb., branch, and will gain two additional Nebraska branches in Lincoln and Grand Island, as well as a branch in Sioux City, Iowa and one in West Fargo, N.D.

In an April 15 news release, Beacon said that General Siding has been providing Midwest contractors with building supplies, including siding, windows, and doors, for the past half-century.

“Beacon is a great place to work, and our employees are excited to join the team,” said Jeff Spanheimer, General Siding’s president. “Our customers will benefit from combining our product catalog and expertise; they will also gain access to Beacon PRO+ for online ordering and delivery tracking.”

Beacon has completed three acquisitions, adding 12 branches, and signed a purchase agreement for a fourth acquisition thus far in 2024. In addition, the company has opened five new locations to date.

“This acquisition deepens our complementary building product offering and adds branch locations that expand our branch network in key markets,” said Bill Sarvis, Beacon’s regional vice president, Midwest. “The Spanheimer family’s business has a long-standing reputation as siding specialists with unparalleled technical knowledge and service reliability; we are proud to have them join Team Beacon.”
