On Wednesday, the National Roofing Contractors Association announced updates to Roof Wind Designer, an online wind-load calculator intended to offer roofing professionals an easy way to determine roof systems’ design wind loads for building types subject to code compliance.
In a Nov. 29 news release, the NRCA said the free web-based application has been updated to include the capability to generate reports on wind uplift pressures based on the newest version of ASCE 7, ASCE 7-22, “Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures.”
