National Women in Roofing members are set to descend on Washington, D.C. to participate in Roofing Day, April 3-4.

The NWIR at Roofing Day Women’s Luncheon is set for April 3.

Exclusively for women in the roofing industry, the luncheon will feature a keynote address from a politically prominent speaker, as well as remarks from other women who are politically active and engaged in their communities and their workplaces.

The location for the luncheon is Charlie Palmer Steak, located at 101 Constitution Avenue NW, 9th Floor.  Networking & registration begins at 11 a.m., luncheon and keynote speaker at 11:30 a.m.  The luncheon is subsidized by NWIR sponsors, so the cost is only $40 per person.

“Women have been involved in politics for a long time in their local communities and in the national arena; and the 2018 election saw women elected to Congress and to state and municipal offices in record numbers,” NWIR notes on its website. “There are also other ways to be politically engaged without running for office, and one of those ways is by participating in Roofing Day to make sure that members of Congress are hearing directly from the roofing industry about our thoughts and concerns.”

NWIR urges luncheon attendees to travel on April 2.
