PITTSBURGH, Pa. — As the Scalo Companies continue to expand and grow following its 60 year celebration, they have added another key force to their list of talented board of directors. John Lucot, former president and COO of Giant Eagle will serve as the newest board member for the Scalo Companies.

Lucot is a strategic and innovative executive with exceptional leadership qualities and advisory skills. Lucot has more than 40 years of experience with Giant Eagle, Inc., one of the nation's largest food, fuel, convenience, and pharmacy retailers and distributors. Lucot is passionate about creating a safety culture; building customer-centric, high preforming organizations; improving processes; developing employees and enhancing their performance through mentoring, and serving as a trusted advisor, and valued member of numerous corporate and industry boards.

Lucot received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Duquesne University and his master's in business from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business from The University of Pittsburgh.
