Fundraiser Underway for Roofing Contractor Critically Injured in Santa Fe Springs Explosion
The roofing industry is responding to calls to help the recovery effort of a roofing contractor who was badly injured in a devastating explosion on a job site last week in California.
Hugo Medina was severely burned when a large tank of tar burst into flames and ignited gas from several other propane tanks nearby on a jobsite in Santa Fe Springs, on May 2. He and a co-worker were on the same platform as the tanks when the explosion occurred. Both were hospitalized and listed in critical condition at time of publication.
