PetersenDean Roofing & Solar Names Builder Group President

March 6, 2015

FREMONT, Calif. — PetersenDean Roofing & Solar has announced the promotion of Wendi Zubillaga to builder group president. She will oversee all operationsWendi Zubillaga related to new residential construction as well as provide overall direction and guidance to the sales and operational activities.

Previously serving as chief sales officer, Zubillaga has been with PetersenDean for more than 20 years andhelped create the Builder Advantage program, a rewards program that provides incentives to builders. Under her direction, PetersenDean has experienced significant growth and expanded to several more states.

“Wendi has displayed the kind of leadership qualities that PetersenDean prides itself on, and her expertise and industry background in roofing and solar are important to this position. We are confident that these skills will help lead us down the right road in the future as we grow and evolve,” said Jim Petersen, founder of PetersenDean. “She has a proven track record of success that spans a wide variety of clients, allowing her to work with all styles, technologies, budgets and approaches. She works with builders big and small across the nation, and so she knows the ins and outs of new residential construction.”

While PetersenDean gets ready to expand to five new states, Zubillaga will be focusing on residential roofing and solar growth, new markets, larger market share in current markets and profitability. With the steady growth of its roofing and solar business and the strong demand from homebuilders and consumers alike, the company is planning to open new facilities in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado and Washington. PetersenDean is expecting to add to its workforce approximately 4,000 new American workers once the plan is fully executed.

One of the few females holding the president’s title in the male-dominated homebuilding industry, Zubillaga is also very active in the industry and community with groups such as the Building Industry Association and HomeAid. Her expansive network and industry background includes a focus on residential roofing and sustainability, and she works with many of the nation’s top homebuilders.

With nearly 30 years of experience in sales and business development in the homebuilding and renewable energy industries, Zubillaga brings strong expertise and experience to PetersenDean. Prior to joining the company, she helped found a lumber and fencing company with her brother in the Northern California area that is still successful today.
