STERLING, Va. — Continuing its tradition, DryHome Roofing and Siding is accepting nominations for its Free Roof for the Holidays program, which helps a deserving Northern Virginia-based individual, family or nonprofit in need of a free roof. The free roof will be awarded based on nominations the company receives from customers and the community.

Nominations open on Nov. 1 and close on Nov. 30. Winners will be announced in early December.

To nominate an individual, family or nonprofit, visit www.dryhome.com and click on the nomination form, or email info@dryhome.com. Nominators should include their name and phone number as well as the nominee’s name, address, phone number and reason for being nominated.  The company will carefully review and evaluate all applications before selecting the nominee.

DryHome has been serving Northern Virginia for 25 years and is committed to making a difference in the community.  Every day, its work ensures that families and organizations have safe, high-quality roofs.  The Free Roof for the Holidays program enables DryHome to thank its customers and the community by helping those less fortunate have a safe roof over their head too.

Last year, DryHome marked the 10th anniversary of the program by giving away two roofs — one to Leesburg widow Ann Harris  and the other to Doorways for Women and Families’ Safehouse, the only domestic violence shelter in Arlington. Other recipients have included: Loudoun school bus driver Barbara Green; Hubert Laconia, a grandfather and veteran of Sterling, Va.; Good Shepherd Alliance, a nonprofit serving Loudoun’s homeless; Reston Interfaith, a nonprofit serving the homeless; Falls Church Cub Scout House; Gabriel Homes, a nonprofit serving adults with developmental disabilities; Mrs. Caylor, a Leesburg resident and volunteer; and Bernie Cline, an elderly Alexandria resident.
