GAF has announced the production of EnergyGuard™ PolyIso Insulated Sheathing: a high-performance building envelope insulation that is designed to reduce energy costs and increase comfort due to its high R-value. Installing insulated sheathing in either new construction or retrofit eliminates thermal bridging, adds additional insulation to the rest of the wall, reduces air filtration and acts as a vapor retarder. This product is manufactured with EPA-compliant blowing agents containing no CFCs or HCFCs, having zero ozone depletion potential and virtually no global warming potential. Applications include cavity walls, masonry walls, stud walls, exterior stucco, re-siding and vaulted ceilings. The product is available to contractors and consumers at The Home Depot and other retailers. For more information, visit www.gaf.com.
