NORWOOD, Mass. — FM Global has appointed Gary Keith as vice president, engineering standards manager at the company’s Center for Property Risk Solutions in Norwood, Mass. In his new role, Keith is responsible for overseeing FM Global’s standards department, which develops written property loss prevention data sheets containing engineering guidelines for helping reduce the risk of property loss due to fire, weather and/or equipment failure.
Previously, Keith worked for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for nearly two decades as vice president, field operations. He began his career in 1980 as a loss-prevention consultant at FM Global. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston. In 2012, he was awarded the distinction of “fellow” by the Institution of Fire Engineers for outstanding service to the profession.
