DALLAS - The 2011 International Roofing Expo is offering attendees and exhibitors the opportunity to give back to the Las Vegas community during Community Service Day on Feb. 15, 2011.

Held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Community Service Day is a home renovation and revitalization project that will be performed on homes of elderly veterans.

“This gratifying event is a perfect opportunity to help those less fortunate,” said Lindsay Roberts, Director of the Expo. “It’s especially rewarding to give back to veterans who have devoted their lives to public service and protecting our freedom.”

To help with the renovations, professional and amateur volunteers are needed from a variety of construction disciplines including interior/exterior painting and cleanup, flooring and minor carpentry.

Working under the direction of a crew chief, all volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and will be asked to sign a Waiver of Liability Form.

Show participants can register for this event at the same time they register to attend the show at www.TheRoofingExpo.com/attendee. There is a $25 fee that includes lunch and transportation. Tax-deductible monetary donations can also be made during registration.

The International Roofing Expo will be held Feb. 16-18, 2011, in the North Halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. For more information, visit www.TheRoofingExpo.com/attendee or call 800-684-5761.
