NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bilco Company was named a Continuing Education Systems (CES) registered provider by the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
The company’s first program for AIA and state credit focuses on the latest advances in horizontal access doors, fire vents and roof hatches. Participation in the program is free of charge and earns industry professionals one AIA/CES learning unit.
Available to architects, designers, and other building professionals as an online self-study program, Bilco’s course can be accessed from the homepage of the company’s Web site,www.bilco.com.
Bilco’s program titled “What’s New in Horizontal Access Doors, Fire Vents & Roof Hatches,” discusses the purposes and benefits of each of these specialty access systems; identifies the key features that architects and specifiers should look for in these products; and describes a series of new, performance-enhancing options. The course also includes a special case study section - presented in a “Voice-Over PowerPoint” format - that showcases a wide range of innovative door, fire vent and roof hatch applications from around the world.
