ABC Supply Co. Inc., Beloit, Wis., held its first two Customer Advisory Panel (CAP) sessions in Detroit and St. Louis in October. The goal of the CAPs is to help ABC better understand the issues that face professional contractors and to identify current and future trends that may affect their business.
"In an effort to further our quest to be a ‘customer-driven' company, the decision to hold customer panels was a natural one for us," says David Luck, president and COO of ABC Supply. "We value our customers' input and feel it is very important to take the time to listen to what they have to say." Luck says this type of forum allows ABC to identify its customers' needs, then focus on improving its product offerings and service levels. "These sessions are extremely valuable and ABC will continue to hold additional CAP meetings in the coming months."
For the remainder of this year, ABC has scheduled an additional 12 CAP sessions across the country, including Denver, San Diego, Portland and Dallas. In 2005, ABC plans to hold 30 sessions in various cities throughout the country.
