RAS Systems, Peachtree City, Ga., offers the RAS TURBObend — a fast, easy-to-operate metal folding machine. Combined with the RAS 52.31 Swing Beam Shear, it allows you to produce parts that make field installation easier and help the bottom line. The icon-driven Multibend 4000 CNC enables you to choose from 24 icon screens and add your dimensions. You can also draw your own shapes off-line on a PC. The folding beam moves at 80 degrees per second and using a frequency inverter, pieces are folded at +/- 1/10 degree. There is automatic adjustment for material thickness change between the upper beam and the folding beam. Within 10 seconds, the beam adjusts for a different material thickness without operator involvement.
