ARMA Opens Entries for 2027 Asphalt Roofing Awards
Contractors can submit low- and steep-slope projects through Dec. 1

The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association is accepting entries for its 2027 Excellence in Asphalt Roofing Awards Program, which recognizes outstanding low- and steep-slope asphalt roofing projects completed within the past three years.
Roofing contractors across North America may submit multiple projects at no cost through Dec. 1, 2026. Entries must include a detailed project description and high-quality photos or videos demonstrating the project’s craftsmanship, performance and design.
A panel of roofing industry judges will evaluate submissions based on why asphalt was selected, challenges overcome, project distinction and aesthetic or technical appeal. The highest-scoring projects will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, carrying prizes of $2,000, $1,000 and $500, respectively.
ARMA also may recognize projects in five Best-in-Class categories: In the Neighborhood, Commercial/Mixed Use, Craftsmanship, Technical Difficulty and Sustainability. The Sustainability category is new for 2027 and will highlight projects incorporating features such as recycled materials, shingle recycling, cool roofing, green roofs, integrated solar systems or LEED certification.
The Technical Difficulty category also has been expanded to consider resilience and hardening measures intended to improve roof performance against high winds, hail, heavy rain, temperature extremes and other severe conditions.
Winning contractors will receive certificates, promotional materials and trade media exposure. Honorees also will be featured through ARMA’s website and social media channels and recognized during the 2027 International Roofing Expo.
