SRS Acquires CORCO Commercial Roofing Business
SRS Distribution has acquired CORCO's commercial roofing division, expanding its presence in the Chicago market while retaining the unit's existing leadership.

SRS Distribution has acquired the commercial roofing business of Industrial Cork Company (CORCO), a Chicago-area distributor of commercial roofing products and accessories, the companies announced May 29. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CORCO, founded in 1935 and based in Elmhurst, Ill., is owned by Jeff DeJong and Dan Krasinski. DeJong will continue leading the commercial roofing business under the SRS banner following the acquisition.
CORCO's controlled-environment building construction division was not included in the deal and will continue operating separately under Krasinski's leadership from a new location.
Kent Gardner, president of SRS, said the company looks forward to building on CORCO's long-standing presence in the Chicago market. "Jeff, Dan, and the entire organization have built an excellent reputation as a commercial roofing leader in the Chicago market," Gardner said.
DeJong and Krasinski said the transaction marks "the next chapter of growth" for both businesses and that SRS was the right long-term partner for CORCO's commercial roofing division.
