Roofing Alliance Marks 30 Years of Industry Support
Group highlights education and workforce efforts

The Roofing Alliance is marking its 30th anniversary, highlighting three decades of investments in education, research, philanthropy and workforce development across the roofing industry.
Founded in 1996, the organization said it has funded millions of dollars in programs that include university partnerships, student scholarships, industry research and workforce initiatives aimed at strengthening the roofing sector.
“The Roofing Alliance was founded on a simple but powerful mission: to secure the future excellence of the roofing industry,” Executive Director Alison L. LaValley said. “For 30 years, our members have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to that mission.”
The organization also recognized Sherri Miles, of J.D. Miles and Sons in Chesapeake, Va., as its 2026-27 president.
“It’s an honor to lead the Roofing Alliance at such a meaningful moment in its history,” Miles said. “For three decades, this organization has made a lasting difference — not only within the roofing industry, but in communities across the country.”
The Roofing Alliance said it plans to highlight members, partners and programs that have contributed to its work during the anniversary year.
