US LBM Acquires Carolina Building Supplier
The acquisition positions the company to support growing builder activity south and west of Charlotte

US LBM has acquired Builders Supply Company, a Lancaster, S.C.-based distributor serving the Charlotte market.
Founded in 1908, Builders Supply Company supplies lumber, millwork, engineered wood, windows and doors, along with installation services across the Carolinas.
US LBM said the acquisition strengthens its ability to serve production builders in the Charlotte region and expands its reach into Columbia, South Carolina. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“There is a clear strategic need to serve the national production builder segment in the Charlotte market,” said John Merritt, US LBM Southeast regional vice president.
Builders Supply Company President Greg Gregory will continue overseeing daily operations. Gregory said joining U.S. LBM would allow the company to continue serving customers while expanding its capabilities.
