TRUFAST, a manufacturer of technical building envelope solutions, has announced the launch of its TruBond Induction Weld (IW) system, designed to mechanically attach insulation or coverboards to roof decks without penetrating single-ply membranes.
The system creates an induction-welded bond between the membrane and the TRUFAST IW Plate, eliminating membrane penetrations while supporting efficient rooftop installation. According to the company, the TruBond IW system is engineered to help crews maintain project schedules while delivering consistent performance.
“Engineered to keep projects on schedule without sacrificing performance, the TruBond IW system offers a more efficient installation solution,” said Nick Eschhofen, senior engineer at TRUFAST. “The system's backpack and compact weld head offer crews enhanced mobility and control on the roof while reducing operator fatigue.”
The kit includes eight heat sink magnets with interchangeable handles and is available in configurations for PVC/KEE/TPA and TPO membranes. A compact weld head aids plate alignment, while intuitive controls, a touchscreen interface and fault detection technology are designed to promote weld consistency. TRUFAST IW Plates are approved for use with steel, wood and structural concrete decks and are compatible with multiple TRUFAST fasteners. Distribution and service will be handled by Hapco Inc.
