MuleHide Expands Training Network with New Colorado Facility
The low-slope roofing manufacturer’s fourth facility provides hands-on, in-person instruction to contractors, distributors, and associates across the West

Low-slope roofing manufacturer MuleHide has expanded its network of training facilities, opening a new MuleHide Training Center in Englewood, Colo.
Located at 1351 W. Stanford Ave., it will give the company’s customers and associates in the West region convenient access to ongoing, in-person, hands-on training. The facility joins centers in Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Florida, providing immersive training to ensure proper product installation, job safety, and up-to-date expertise in commercial roofing systems.
“Training is one of the most important things we do,” said Alisha Parker, training manager for MuleHide. “We offer industry-leading products, but they won’t perform that way if they’re installed incorrectly or used in a situation they’re not intended for. That’s where training comes in.”
The center will make it easy for our contractors, distributors and associates in the West region to get the training they need to ensure that the right products go on every roof, that the products are installed to specification, that jobs go smoothly and safely, and that everyone stays up-to-date on the latest developments in the ever-changing commercial roofing industry.
The 4,900-sq.-ft. facility is specifically designed for roofing training and includes everything needed to teach the correct installation of any low-slope roofing system or complete any detail. Courses begin with classroom-style instruction to provide a foundational understanding of the topic. Participants typically then watch the instructor apply that knowledge in a demonstration before gaining hands-on experience doing it themselves.
The center’s large classroom is equipped to comfortably host video presentations, discussions and team meetings. Most of the space, however, is devoted to hands-on work, and the layout incorporates lean manufacturing principles to maintain a clean and organized environment. Features include a 10x32x2-foot mock parapet roof retrofitted with MuleHide’s “plug and teach” system for demonstrating and practicing the correct way to complete any detail. Additionally, ergonomic 4x8x36-foot standing training tables are available, allowing participants to practice completing details without bending and stooping; custom roll racks that neatly dispense roof membrane for use in training.
