Amrize has partnered with Greentown Labs as a Terrawatt Partner to accelerate the development and deployment of next-generation building technologies.
Greentown Labs, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the largest climatetech incubator in North America, with startup communities in Boston and Houston focused on commercializing sustainable solutions.
Through this partnership, Amrize will collaborate with Greentown entrepreneurs to pilot, invest in, and scale cutting-edge innovations for infrastructure, commercial, and residential construction.
“North American builders are demanding smarter, more efficient and more resilient construction," said Amrize Chief Technology Officer Ronald Brouwer. "We look forward to partnering with Greentown Labs and its member startups to co-create new solutions to address these needs, from handling the most extreme weather conditions to increasing speed of construction."
"This partnership between Amrize and Greentown's community of entrepreneurs aims to accelerate innovation across the building industry," said Aisling Carlson, Greentown's Chief Growth Officer. "Many of our startups are developing innovations that revolutionize how buildings are planned, built, retrofitted, and managed, and Amrize will play a key role in rapidly bringing these technologies to market."
The collaboration expands Amrize’s open-innovation ecosystem, which includes partnerships with institutions like MIT and investments in startups such as Sublime Systems in Boston and Travertine in Colorado. Together, these efforts strengthen Amrize’s mission to deliver advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop.
