Roofr, the customer relationship management software provider to the roofing industry, has announced the integration of its e-commerce platform with QXO, one of the industry’s “big three” material distribution suppliers.
The move aims to streamline how contractors price jobs and order materials, shifting a process that has long relied on phone calls and manual data entry to a more automated, digital workflow.
The partnership connects QXO's extensive supply network, which spans over 600 locations nationwide, directly into the daily operational software of the more than 12,000 roofing companies that use Roofr's business management tools.
“Our mission at Roofr is to be the trusted foundation for roofing professionals to build their success,” Richard Nelson, CEO of Roofr, said in a news release.
The incorporation allows contractors to access real-time, contract-specific material pricing and submit digital orders directly within the Roofr application seamlessly, inherently incorporating the supply chain into the project planning phase.
“This integration with QXO gives our users unprecedented access to up-to-date pricing and effortless ordering, which further enhances operational efficiency and boosts profitability,” he added.
QXO officials stated that the alliance aims to eliminate costly manual data entry and mitigate the risk of pricing errors, which can compromise a job's profitability.
With the new system, contractors can convert a digital proposal into a material order that is sent directly to a QXO branch. The platform also provides visibility into material availability, a critical feature designed to help contractors schedule jobs more efficiently and avoid project delays caused by unforeseen stock issues, which can disrupt crew schedules and customer timelines.
“Our entire technology roadmap is centered on delighting our customers, whether that means building world-class proprietary tools or partnering with best-in-class platforms that help contractors operate more efficiently,” QXO spokesman Joe Checkler said.
He added that the integration helps by “eliminating manual tasks, ensuring pricing is always current and connecting the dots between estimating and executing.”

The move is part of a broader digital strategy for QXO, which recently acquired Beacon Roofing Supply. Rather than building a single, closed system, the company is assembling an ecosystem of integrated software partners, including platforms like Leap and Acculynx.
The strategy, a centerpiece of QXO’s plans to gain efficiencies within the building materials supply chain, aims to create a more connected and seamless process for contractors throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the initial bid to the final build, meeting them within the software they already use.
For Roofr, the partnership offers its users a direct and simplified purchasing channel to one of the industry's largest material suppliers, a significant step in digitizing a key business function.
The collaboration highlights a continuing trend of digitalization within the construction trades more broadly.
Industry leaders are increasingly focused on integrating complex supply-chain logistics directly into project-management software, bringing a level of B2B e-commerce efficiency that has transformed other sectors, including the traditionally fragmented building materials industry.
