DeLAND, Fla. -- Kingspan Insulated Panels of North America named Brent Trenga as Director of Sustainability and Education.

A graduate of Penn State University’s School of Architecture, Trenga is a former board member and Chairman of the education committee for the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) chapter in South Carolina. He is LEED® AP certified and a current board member for GreenWizard.

Earlier in his career, Trenga gained extensive experience working with Neil Stevenson Architects for six years. His project work in urban and non-urban settings focused on urban design, environmental design in coastal environments, educational facilities and modular housing. His training, insight and experience made him a sought after expert in online tools for green building.

“Brent has extensive knowledge of LEED® and the many sectors of sustainable design,” said Kevin Kelly, president of Kingspan Insulated Panels, North America. “His extensive background as a designer, construction manager, developer and owners’ representative allows him a greater understanding of sustainability concepts in the construction industry.”

In his new position with Kingspan, Trenga will represent Kingspan Insulated Panels in Standards and Green Building Certification development, build and manage Kingspan’s internal and external education programs and support strategic planning for the business development group. He will be on-site with the Kingspan team at this year's Greenbuild Expo, Nov. 18-19 in Washington, D.C.
