Solyndra is an all-U.S. solar manufacturer and has invented and designed a rooftop system that uses their hot technology along with a cool roof. Solyndra’s state-of-the art PV systems are designed to work with a white, reflective roof for a number of reinforcing benefits: Its cylindrical solar modules and horizontally-oriented panels allow for 360-degree light capture when combined with the reflective surface. The systems are specially designed for simpler no-tool installation and for low-load commercial and industrial rooftops. All PV systems perform better with white roofs due to lower ambient temperatures, but only Solyndra’s was designed to integrate with them.
