AkzoNobel Brings Metal Roofing Coatings to METALCON
Company will highlight coating systems, weathering data and renewable energy curing initiatives in Orlando

AkzoNobel Coil & Extrusion Coatings will showcase several metal construction coating technologies at METALCON 2026, scheduled for Oct. 7-9 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
At Booth 817, the company will feature its TRINAR CORE and CERAM-A-STAR 1050 Select coating systems, along with weathered test panels from its Global Weathering Program and information about its IONOMY renewable energy curing initiative.
TRINAR CORE is a standardized color palette based on a 70% polyvinylidene fluoride coating system designed to simplify color selection and improve availability. The company said the system is formulated to meet or exceed AAMA 2605 performance requirements.
AkzoNobel will also highlight CERAM-A-STAR 1050 Select, including Select Expressions and Select Frost. Select Expressions uses textured print technology to create wood-, slate- and stone-inspired finishes, while Select Frost provides a textured finish intended to help mask fabrication and installation imperfections.
Attendees can also review panels from AkzoNobel s Global Weathering Program, which has evaluated more than 100,000 panels through more than 30 years of exposure testing. The company will also discuss IONOMY, an industry collaboration launched in late 2025 to support adoption of renewable energy curing technologies.
