Expanding Software Capabilities

Among the technology being showcased will be CS Cornerstone Wall, a new all-in-one platform that combines building modeling with structural wood component design and analysis. The platform is powered by hsbcad.

Simpson Strong-Tie also will introduce CS Cloud Director, a cloud-based management platform designed to give component manufacturers greater visibility into operations while supporting efficiency and profitability.

CS Producer, the company’s cloud-based truss production management software, will demonstrate ways floor and roof truss manufacturers can schedule and manage daily production operations.

BCMC attendees also will have an opportunity to receive demonstrations of CS Truss Studio, CS Director, CS EWP Studio and the iStruct software suite.

“Our cloud-native portfolio of component software and differentiated services uniquely positions us to help the construction industry lead its next era of productivity, precision and scalable growth,” said Udit Mehta, chief technology officer for Simpson Strong-Tie.

Mehta said the company continues to increase its investments in artificial intelligence, digital solutions and modernized platforms as manufacturers look for ways to improve production speed, accuracy and consistency.

Automation Moves onto the Shop Floor

Software will be only part of the company’s technology presentation at BCMC.

Simpson Strong-Tie will also demonstrate an expanded lineup of truss fabrication equipment, including roof, floor and jack truss gantry tables, vertical stackers, finish rollers and exit conveyors.

The company will showcase the Monet DeSauw DeSawyer, a fully computerized, five-bladed truss saw, along with an updated version of its EasyFrame automated marking saw.

The upgraded EasyFrame platform combines precision cutting, automated printing, routing capabilities and software integration into one production system. The equipment is designed to help manufacturers increase throughput while improving accuracy and operational efficiency.

Simpson Strong-Tie will also display its latest connectors, fasteners, anchors, and component hardware during the conference.

The combination of software and fabrication equipment reflects the construction industry’s broader movement toward greater automation and integration between digital design and manufacturing. For contractors, manufacturers and suppliers facing continued labor and productivity pressures, those technologies increasingly offer opportunities to move repetitive processes away from the job site while improving precision and consistency.

Investing in Component Manufacturing

The BCMC showcase follows another significant investment by Simpson Strong-Tie in its component manufacturing operations.

The company recently broke ground on a new facility in Fulton, Missouri, that will bring several of its equipment businesses together under one roof. The operation will include Monet DeSauw saws, EasyFrame automated marking systems and the company’s truss fabrication equipment.

Building on Simpson Strong-Tie’s existing manufacturing presence in Fulton, the facility will consolidate equipment operations into a single location. The company said the investment is intended to strengthen its ability to develop, manufacture and support equipment designed to improve productivity, efficiency and quality for component manufacturers.

Simpson Strong-Tie will also host a happy hour for BCMC attendees Sept. 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Stories on High in Columbus.
