ARMA Names Heather Estes VP of Technical Services
Estes to lead standards, technical efforts

The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association has named Heather Estes as vice president of technical services, effective April 13, 2026.
In the role, Estes will oversee the association’s technical activities and serve as its primary representative in scientific and regulatory discussions involving residential and commercial roofing. She will also act as a liaison to organizations involved in developing building standards.
“Heather is an excellent addition to ARMA’s leadership team,” said Reed Hitchcock, the association’s executive vice president. “Her experience with the organization and the industry will bring valuable perspective, insight and energy to our technical capabilities.”
Estes has more than 15 years of experience in roofing materials, including work in forensic analysis, research and development, and manufacturing. She holds a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
“I have long admired ARMA’s commitment to technical excellence … and I am honored to now lead those efforts from within,” Estes said.
Estes will work with current Vice President of Technical Services Aaron Phillips through June to support the transition. Phillips, who joined ARMA in 2020, was credited by the association with strengthening its technical advocacy and industry engagement.
