MuleHide Self-Adhering EPDM Available in Compact Rolls
Rolls measure in at 5-foot by 40-foot and weigh about 80 pounds

MuleHide announced that its Self-Adhering EPDM membrane is now available in compact 5-foot by 40-foot rolls, ideal for use on smaller and harder-to-access low-slope roofs.
Designed for portability, the rolls are narrower, shorter and lighter than the existing 10-foot-wide rolls of Self-Adhering EPDM, making them an efficient option for residential and urban low-slope roofs, confined or challenging-to-reach spaces, and high-rise buildings. The rolls weigh approximately 80 pounds each and fit in the back of a standard pickup truck.
A 3-inch selvedge edge (non-adhesive) along one of the 40-foot factory-length edges allows quick, hassle-free seaming with 3-inch EPDM In-Seam Tape. End laps and cut sections are stripped in with 6-inch Cured Cover Tape.
The new rolls also bring the performance and benefits of MuleHide Self-Adhering EPDM:
- Installs up to 80% faster compared to using traditional bonding adhesive. A nominal 60-mil-thick non-reinforced EPDM membrane is laminated to a 100% solid pressure-sensitive adhesive. The release liner is silicone-coated on one side for consistent release from the adhesive
- Strong and flexible, the EPDM stands up to ozone, ultraviolet (UV) rays and mold, can handle cold and heat, and is resistant to hail damage, tearing, impacts, punctures and normal roof traffic
- The low-odor formula minimizes disruption to building occupants
- The membrane can be installed in temperatures as low as 20 degrees Fahrenheit
- The adhesive forms a strong bond with a wide variety of substrates
- A full line of pressure-sensitive accessories is available to enhance workmanship and crew efficiency
