Convoy Supply, a North American leader in the distribution of construction materials established in 1972, announced on Tuesday that Jean-Marc Sager, who replaces Martin Côté, will be its president and CEO.

In a news release, the company extended its thanks to Côté for his leadership since 2020, “including through the pandemic and resultant supply chain issues.”

Convoy Supply says Sager has more than 30 years of international experience, most recently as vice-president of International Development for SOPREMA since March 2020.

His prior experience includes leadership roles with global logistics brands DHL and TFI INTERNATIONAL, with extensive skills and a proven track record in business strategy and development, change management, business transformation & turnarounds, and accelerated growth.

Sager’s mandate includes optimizing Convoy’s processes, increasing efficiencies and alignment throughout the company, and leading Convoy to a new performance and customer experience level. “We are excited that Jean-Marc has accepted this new challenge with Convoy,” said Richard Voyer, executive vice president & CEO for SOPREMA North America.

“His extensive experience in innovative direction and building operational efficiencies, most recently in his 5 years with the SOPREMA Group of companies, brings proven leadership to this role,” Voyer added. “Jean-Marc is a critical addition as Convoy looks to future growth and operational excellence.”
