For more than a decade, Roofing Contractor has sought out to compile a comprehensive list of the top roofing contractors working in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Each year, companies of all sizes respond to the call for submissions to report their revenue as well as any reasons for marked improvement — or failures — that can help others become more successful.

The response was again strong this year, the 11th consecutive time the RC team collected annual sales revenue totals submitted independently by companies from all around the country throughout the first half of 2019. We then used the data to mold this year’s list of the highest-earning roofing professionals industry wide.

2014 | 2013 | 2012

2011 | 2010 | 2009

As in past years, this year’s list has taken on a life of its own — growing to the point where companies now rely on it for marketing purposes, and to set them apart for potential competitors at the kitchen table or boardrooms around the country.

“We would rather lose a customer to a reliable competitor than to lose a customer to what we call ‘Chuck in a Truck,’” said Bryce Curtis, director of Yellowhammer Roofing, Inc. in Athens, Ala. The company reported an increase in overall revenue from $12 million to $16.2 million in 2018, making RC’s Top 100 List for the very first time.

“Being included on the list means that we have made the list with other great contractors around the U.S. that are more than likely licensed, insured, certified, and stand behind their work just like we do.”

What began as a way to help roofing contractors establish themselves as reputable and successful businesses in the eyes of their peers and their customers has tuned into an annual milestone for many roofers industry-wide.

“We’ve made the list for the past two years and it consistently helps with brand awareness, credibility and trust with our potential and current clients,” said Dale Tadlock, owner and president of Tadlock Roofing in Tallahassee, Fla. “It’s refreshing to see a highly competitive industry come together for a Top 100 recognition to congratulate and celebrate one another for last year’s success.”

See more of the list, including the next 50 placements, as well as a handful of company spotlights selected by the RC editorial team, on our website, www.roofingcontractor.com.
