New Product Pavilion Winners Announced for 2009 IRE

Judges of the New Product Pavilion’s “Best New Product” at the 2009 International Roofing Expo chose first, second and third place winners based on a selection of 21 products.

DALLAS - Judges of the New Product Pavilion’s “Best New Product” at the 2009 International Roofing Expo chose first, second and third place winners based on a selection of 21 products. Held on the show floor, the New Product Pavilion showcased the cutting-edge product advancements introduced into the marketplace over the past year. The judges, comprised of a panel of industry experts, selected the winners based on innovation, productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Toronto-based RoofLogic was awarded “Best New Product” for its RoofLogic Mobile module that uses the latest handheld technology so roofing professionals can collect inspection and job information right on the rooftop complete with drawings and photos. This benefits roofers by streamlining inspections and deliver winning proposals and reports in hours not days. This new product will be available for purchase in March 2009.

Second place was awarded to Bilgin Roof Dock headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. Designed for a lifetime of secure roof access and ladder docking safety, the Bilgin Roof Dock is 100 percent aluminum construction, will never corrode and was engineered to withstand the demands of a professional contractor for repeated use. This product will hit the market between Feb. 27 and March 23, 2009.

“The 2009 IRE was our patented product launch and introduction to the industry,” said Todd Dauterman, President, Bilgin Roof Dock. “We felt the show was a great success and through our participation in the New Product Pavilion, we are exactly where we needed to be.”

Capturing third place was Chicago Clamp Company's Framing Clamp System - Tube Frame. This innovative product allows contractors to frame roof openings and support roof loads without welding or drilling holes. The new Framing Clamp System - Tube Frame reduces installation costs, minimizes fire hazards, and allows contractors to complete joist framing projects more efficiently. This product is now available for purchase.

“Our congratulations go out to all three winners,” said Donna Bellantone, Director of the Expo. “What makes the Best New Product award winners stand out is they demonstrate a true sense of innovation and creativity in the roofing marketplace.”

Other companies participating in the New Product Pavilion included AccuLynx.com, Amerisafe, Appian Way Sales, Architectural Building Components, Cosella-Dorken Products, DECRA Roofing Systems, Duraflo-Canplas Industries, East Coast Roof Specialties, ES Products, GeoEstimator, Metal Sales Manufacturing, National Coatings Corp, Perma-Coat / RMI, Polyglass USA, Professional Engineering Co., PWT, The New England Slate Co, and Turtle Plastics (Cleveland Reclaim).

The 2010 International Roofing Expo will be held Feb. 22-24 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La.
